VCDesign Validation Report
- Structural comparison against existing architectures for preserving value over time -
This page is material for deciding whether to adopt VCDesign.
We publish reports below that compare and evaluate VCDesign (Value Continuity Design)
against representative architectures and AI operation practices.
These were produced using generative AI (ChatGPT / Gemini)
to analyze the source code and design principles.
Premises of this report:
This is not a simple philosophy overview. It compares, as a structure,
where VCDesign steps in and where it does not, based on best practices
such as Clean Architecture, DDD, and AI Ethics.
This is not a document that claims VCDesign is "correct."
It exists to clarify which problems it is effective for.
Summary (what this report clarifies)
1. VCDesign does not reject existing architectures
Clean Architecture and DDD remain effective for code structure and changeability. VCDesign does not replace them.
2. It designs the lifespan of judgment and responsibility
It provides a structure that preserves the premises of value over time, such as why a judgment was made and who holds responsibility.
3. HITL becomes architecture, not operations
It does not rely on human effort alone. It enforces structures where decisions without explicit human responsibility cannot execute.
4. Ethics and safety are not delegated to AI "goodness"
It rejects the idea that smarter AI is automatically safer. It limits the scope of AI involvement and anchors responsibility in humans.
What can be said / what cannot be said
What can be said about VCDesign
It clearly takes responsibility for areas existing architectures could not protect.
- Systems that run long-term
- Meaning and premises change frequently
- AI participates in judgment processes
- Failures require heavy accountability
Not "design that produces the right answer"
but "design that structurally reduces the conditions of value collapse."
What cannot be said about VCDesign
The following are outside the scope of VCDesign and are not guaranteed.
- Prioritizing speed and automation above all else
- Short-lived, disposable systems
- Defining what the correct ethics are
- Guaranteeing input data quality
A structure where human judgment and responsibility are not erased by time and AI.
Not promising more than that is itself a VCDesign principle.
Where this goes next
This report is not an endpoint, but a checkpoint.
VCDesign gains meaning only through real-world iteration: implementations,
operational failures, and decisions not to apply it.
Please decide
If this still feels too heavy or excessive, VCDesign may be unnecessary at your current phase.
That is itself the right decision.
